NELLCO Launches Legal Scholarship Repository -- On Mon. Sept 15, 2003, NELLCO, in collaboration with Berkeley Electronic Press, launched an exciting new initiative in scholarly legal publishing.  Five NELLCO member institutions -- Cornell, Fordham, Suffolk, University of Connecticut and Yale -- are participating in this pilot project.  Each has developed publication series within the site which will serve to provide free access to important scholarship of their faculty and staff.  Please take some time to discover this emerging resource, and direct any inquiries to tracy.thompson@yale.edu.

NELLCO Strategic Planning meetings scheduled - The NELLCO Strategic Planning Committee has scheduled a series of meetings to gather member input into the strategic planning process.  All library staff at any NELLCO full member library are invited to attend one of these four meetings:

Thurs. Oct. 16 - Columbia University Law School Library
Fri. Oct. 31 - Boston College Law Library
Fri. Nov. 7 - University of Connecticut Law Library
Weds. Nov. 12 - Suffolk University Law School Library

NEILUG meeting to be held at Suffolk - The New England Innovative Law Users' Group Meeting will be held at Suffolk Law School on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 from 9:00am-3:00pm.  The cost is $25.00 per person and includes lunch.  For more information contact Dave Turkalo (dturkalo@suffolk.edu).

SNELLA Offers Scholarship Money - In order to promote continuing education among its members, the Southern New England Law Librarians' Association maintains a Scholarship Fund.  Scholarships support attendance at meetings and institutes which entail a registration fee. An application must be received by the Chairman of the Committee one month before the meeting/institute. All members are encouraged to apply!
